Security chiefs visit Enugu community over gunmen attack

Sequel to the violent attack on Ogbete-Mgbuji in Eha-Amufu Community of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State on June 13, 2022 by suspected herdsmen, the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State, Abubakar Lawal, and other security chiefs in the State, on Friday visited Eha-Amufu community on-the-spot assessment of the attack.
The Security Chiefs during the visit interacted with members of the community, at Obibi-Mgbuji Village Square; and re-assured them of the commitment of the Nigeria Police and other Security Agencies in tackling violent attacks in the area.
Abubakar, however, called on villagers to be vigilant, law-abiding and promptly volunteer useful information that would help the Security Operatives to contain activities of the assailants.
Recall that unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen had on 13/06/2022, attacked and murdered three male members of Ogbete-Mgbuji area of the community.
The CP and entourage was received and guided by the Area Commander, Udenu Area Command, ACP Edwin Egwuekwe, and a team of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area leadership, led by the Vice Chairman of the council, Mr. Ogechukwu Nnamani.
