Senate unveils 74 standing committees, as Oshiomhole, Abaribe, Kalu, others listed

President of the 10^th senate, Godswill Akpabio, Tuesday, unveiled a list of 74 standing committees and their chairpersons from the Upper Chambers of the legislature.

The committees’ heads were unveiled barely hour after the senate completed the screening and confirmation of 45 ministerial nominees sent to it by President Bola Tinubu and features prominent names likes the immediate past senate president, Ahmad Lawan who now chairs the committee on defence.

Other names that featured in the list include; Sen. Adams Oshiomhole – Interior, Sen. Solomon Adeola – Appropriations, Seriake Dickson – Ecology/Climate change, Sen. Osita Izunaso – Capital market,  Sen. Abiru Tokunbo – Banking, Sen. Elisha Abbo – Culture & Tourism, Sen. Victor Umeh – Diaspora,  Sen. Enyinaya Abaribe – Power, Sen. Ireti Kingibe – Women Affairs, and Sen. Orji Kalu – Privatization.
