Shun politics of ethnicity, only PDP can rescue C’River – Arthur Jarvis
From Aniekan Aniekan, Calabar
The Chancellor of Arthur Jarvis University, Arthur Jarvis has charged members of his immediate communities to shun politics of ethnicity as only the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can save the state.
Jarvis made the plea in Akpabuyo while donating over one thousand bags of rice and other items to the local government chapter of the party.
According to him, “elections is less than three months away and I am calling in our party supporters especially members of the Southern Senatorial Zone to be more concerned about the development of the South than playing the politics of ethnicity.
“Any candidate or vote for the APC beyond ethnic sentiments is virtually an extension of the Ayade government.
“I am a strong believer of the fact that our people should look beyond ethnicity and bring us out of this embarrassment we find ourselves,” he said.
Receiving the items, the Akpabuyo chapter chairman of the PDP Etim Bassey thanked Jarvis for the donation.
He added that they are aligning with the position of Jarvis on the gubernatorial race in the state, stressing that the condition of the state is shameful.
He said Cross River State needs a God fearing leader who will build the state and that the PDP’s Senator Onor meets this criterion.
