Soludo, Oye, Nwankwo receive over 20,000 APC members who defected to APGA

The ever growing membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), grew bigger on Saturday, September 11, 2021 as over 5,000 All Progressives Congress (APC) members (though with a projected number of over 20,000 membership strength in Njikoka Local Government Authority .
The ceremony which held at Enugwu-Ukwu) was led by Hon (Chief) Chinedu Nduka Okoye, a Chieftain of the party in Njikoka LGA defected en mass to APGA
On hand to receive the defecting APC members were the National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu (Dr) Victor Ike Oye; the gubernatorial candidate of APGA, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim; Hon Dozie Ferdinand Nwankwo, Member Representing Njikoka, Anaocha and Dunukofia Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives and other top APGA Chieftains
Welcoming the APC members to APGA, Oye said the decampees have made the right decision by switching their allegiance and loyalty to APGA.
He described APGA as the progressive party for Ndigbo which should be supported by every Igbo person. He assured the new members that by switching their loyalty and allegiance to APGA, they are now fully entitled to every rights and privileges due to every member of the party
Speaking about the gubernatorial candidate of the party, the APGA National Chairman described Prof. Soludo as the best candidate to succeed Governor Willie Obiano.
He emphasised that Soludo has the requisite training, exposure, experience, connections and contacts to take the State higher and higher in every sphere of development.
He reiterated that Governor Willie Obiano has already laid the solid foundations for Soludo to build on, adding that Soludo will open up Anambra as the gateway to Eastern Nigeria with the Airport and other legacy projects Obiano has already put in place.
He described the combination of Soludo and Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim his deputy as an excellent Combination of a “winning team” that will deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of Anambra State.
Ozonkpu Oye who went spiritual told the audience that he has absolute faith in God and he is fully confident of total victory for Soludo/Ibezim gubernatorial ticket at the polls this November
Hon (Chief) Chinedu Nduka Okoye,(also known as ‘Ubi’ – meaning a ‘farmland that bears crops’), who led the defecting APC members to APGA said he decided to decamp to APGA with his over 20,000 supporters in Njikoka because he believes in the candidacy of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo as the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
He added that he firmly believes Soludo/Ibezim ticket will be more beneficial to Ndi Anambra than any other candidate from other political parties. He therefore said himself and his supporters across all the wards in Njikoka LGA pledge their total allegiance to APGA and the party guber candidate, assuring them of overwhelming support and victory from his Constituency come November 6, 2021
Responding, Cee Cee Soludo welcomed the new members into the family of APGA. He reiterated again that APGA is the only party that represents the Igboman. He commended the National chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Oye and Hon Dozie Nwankwo and all the stakeholders of the party for continously working round the clock in building and sustaining the ideals and growth of the party. He used the occasion to introduce his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim to the crowd and urged them to come out en mass to vote massively for APGA and its gubernatorial candidate
The new members were later in a symbolic ceremony presented with the APGA inscribed logo wax material by the National Chairman of APGA as a formal acceptance into the party fold.
