Tinubu appoints ex-Buhari aide as Media & Publicity adviser
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the appointment of Mr. Ajuri Ngelale as Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
Mr Ngelale was Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Office of the Vice President during the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
He also served as one of the spokespersons in the All Progressives Congress/ Presidential Campaign Council (APC/PCC) in the 2023 general elections.
A statement on Monday signed by the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Willie Bassey, said the appointment takes effect from July 31, 2023 and would terminate at the end of this administration ‘unless otherwise decided by the President.’ According to the statement, ‘the President urges him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the new assignment.’
