Tinubu extols Otti for his leadership skills, says Abia is working

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, for providing good leadership which was yielding huge democracy dividends in the state.
Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Sehettima, was in Aba, Abia State, to inaugurate the Geometric Power plant that would supply electricity to nine of the 17 local governments of the state, as well as three roads reconstructed by the Otti-led administration in some parts of Aba metropolis.
The projects were inaugurated on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Addressing the crowd that gathered at Osisioma Ngwa to witness the inauguration of Geometric Power Limited, a private investment, Sehettima said he has seen for himself, first hand, what the Abia Governor was doing and the people’s love for their Servant Leader.
“Today in Aba, we saw testimony to good leadership. I saw the outpouring of emotion, of love and support for Dr. Alex Otti. I was privileged to commission the Queen’s Road, Jubilee and the Omoba Road on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Your Excellency, posterity will be very kind to you. Keep the flag flying, keep up the good works,” the Vice President said.
While inauguratimg the roads, the President had noted that Otti was running a people-oriented government, adding that “Abia State is working.”
He said that the Presidency was proud of the developmental strides of Otti in Abia as the Governor has brought his experience to bear in the administration of the state.
“Within the last nine months, people of Abia State have witnessed a change in their fortunes. Abia is working, we are quite proud of the accomplishments of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. He has brought to bear his wealth of experience, intellect and exposure to the development of Abia State.,” the Vice President said.
He emphasized that quality leadership was very crucial to development of society and thanked Governor Otti for his humility and respect, as well as the development he was bringing to Abia.
Speaking earlier, Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, said the roads being inaugurated were strategic.
He thanked the contractors for working according to specifications, including putting drainages on the two sides of the roads and delivering them in good time.
“This road is a road that is built to last. When we do this, we want to give the power back to the people. We want to give access to you. We want you to go back to what you do and what you know how to do without any obstruction and that is why we have promised that every part of Aba must be touched,” Otti said.
He thanked Mr. President for the support he has been giving to his administration since he assumed office and assured the people of the state that his administration was just starting, adding that he would ensure he fulfilled his promises to them.
