‘Tinubu in good health’ – as aide explains latest trip abroad
National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and aspirant in the 2023 Presidential race under the platform of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is in good health, according to his aide, Tunde Rahman, while responding to questions over state of health of the politician.
The aide, while explaining the motive for the recent trip abroad of his principal, said his boss is in fine health and in excellent spirits.
Asiwaju earlier in the week left the country for undisclosed reasons rumoured to be health-related, though party sources claim the politician has gone to spent time with his family, as well as, for further consultations in line with his 2023 presidential ambition.
It would be recalled that Asiwaju Tinubu spent the better part of three months, last year, in the United Kingdom, where he reportedly underwent a knee surgery.
He, however, returned to the country in October of the same year.
The former Lagos governor, thereafter, commenced trips to Oyo, Niger, and Zamfara states to widen consultations for his political ambition.
Rahman said the APC stalwart would return to Nigeria next week.
He said, “Asiwaju’s trip to the UK (United Kingdom) is not to rest or because of any illness.
“While abroad, Asiwaju is maintaining a vigorous schedule of meetings and consultations on a range of important matters.
“Whether at home or abroad, the daily schedule of Asiwaju is vibrant and full. Most people couldn’t sustain his high level of activity. This speaks to his exceptional intellectual energy and his commitment to achievement.”
“Asiwaju Tinubu will return to Nigeria next week once this set of meetings and talks abroad is completed,” he said.
