Transocean Coatings locates unit in Snake Island Integrated Free Zone

Promoters of the Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ), Nigerdock, have attracted another high profile company into the facility, welcoming Transocean Coatings FZE, an affiliate of Transocean Coatings Nigeria Limited.
Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Kevin Johnson-Azuara, declared in a statement weekend that Nigerdock and Transocean Coatings FZE reached a deal to establish an affiliate of Transocean Coatings Nigeria Limited in the infrastructure enhanced facility which offers all industrial park benefits.
The Oracle Today reports that About Nigerdock is a leading Nigerian maritime and logistics company providing clients with integrated port and free zone facilities, including terminal operations, marine services, logistics, and free zone solutions.
Nigerdock operates the Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ), an economic development area strategically located in the main harbour of Lagos, Nigeria. The free zone facilities offer an integrated platform for logistics, trading, and manufacturing companies to establish operations in Nigeria with a low cost of entry.
Companies pitching with the SIIFZ benefit from enhanced business climate and facilities that guarantee optimized operations and process uptime enabled with available seaport, land, and power infrastructure.
Nigerdock stated that Transocean Coatings Nigeria Limited has joined a number of companies that have lined up to take the opportunity of locating their businesses in the SIIFZ.
Chief Executive Officer of Nigerdock, Maher Jarmakani, stated during the official signing ceremony: “We are delighted to welcome Transocean Coatings Nigeria to our economic zone, and look forward to a partnership that will significantly contribute to the advancement of innovation, commerce, and economic growth across the region.”
Transocean Coatings Nigeria Limited is the Nigerian member of the global Transocean Coatings Association, focusing on supplying and eventually producing protective coatings for marine, onshore, and offshore assets.
Chief Executive Officer, Oliver Birkett, remarked: “With Transocean Coatings’ presence in over 20 countries, our newest facility within SIIFZ’s strategic location increases our global footprint and enables us to better serve our clients with increased efficiency and proximity. It also reinforces our dedication to the region’s infrastructure and energy sectors and our long-term vision for business growth in Africa.”
With the agreement in Lagos, Mr Johnson-Azuara explains, that Transocean FZE joins SIIFZ’s growing portfolio of multi-sector entities, including maritime, logistics, finance, energy, and heavy industry.
Established as a free trade zone in 2005, he stated, SIIFZ provides entities with ease of doing business and global market access. He added that the presence of interconnected services within the Free Zone, including Snake Island Port, further enhances the potential for collaborative opportunities among companies cohabitating the free zone area.
