The duo, whose addresses are not given, are standing trial on a two-count charge of conspiracy and assault before a magistrate, Mr Olalekan Ijiyode.
The Police Prosecutor, Cpl. Odusina Olawale, told the court that the accused committed the offence on June 30, 2018 at about 9:00 a.m. at Akarabata Line 1, Lagere, Ile-Ife.
Olawale alleged that the accused conspired with each other to commit felony to wit, and assaulted one Iyiola Fayemi with their fists.
He added that the offence contravened Sections 351 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The magistrate granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 each with two sureties in like sum.
Ijiyode added that the sureties must swear to affidavit of means and must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
He ruled that one of the sureties must be a civil servant, whose photograph should be verified by the court’s registrar as part of the bail conditions.
The magistrate adjourned the case until Aug 3, 2018.
