U.S embassy extends short visa validity to 5yrs for Nigerian travellers
United States Mission in Nigeria has issued a clarification on its tourist and business short visa policy for Nigerian travellers, extending the validity from its previous two to five years.
In a notice on the new policy poste, Thursday, on its Twitter handle, the U.S Mission stated debunked the myth that its short time visas of two years may no longer need to be renewed every two years, as its validity has now been extended to five years.
“Myth: Nigerians have to apply for a visa to visit the United States every two years.
“Fact: Previously, Nigerians had to apply for new visas every two years to take short trips for business or tourism, but now tourist visas will be valid for five years for the same type of travel!” the embassy wrote, Thursday.
