Shettima decorates Egbetokun as Ag. IGP
Vice President, Kashim Shettima has officially decorated the newly-appointed Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun with his new rank.
The brief ceremony which took place, Tuesday at the Vice President’s office at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, was performed jointly with the spouse of the new Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mrs Egbetokun.
The event was witnessed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Others were; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; and the outgoing Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali.
On Monday, President Bola Tinubu announced the appointment of Egbetokun as the acting Inspector General of Police.
Egbetokun replaces Usman Alkali Baba as the new police chief of the country.
