
What QoH Pageantry means for the girl child – Organisers

Organisers of the Queen of Humanity Beauty Pageant say the pageant will help improve the lot of the girl child in the society.

Michael Moses, the producer of the pageant disclosed this in Calabar during a media parley at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre in Calabar, Cross River State.
He disclosed that the event which is a brain child of the wife of the Cross River State governor, Rev. Eyoanwan Otu will centre around mentorship rather than just showcasing physical values.
He emphasized that the young Nigerian girl lacks value system, ethical values, moral principles and selflessness and so the event will help reverse this trend.
He disclosed that the pageant will stretch from November 1, 2024 to December 27th 2024 and is open for all girls between the age of 18 to 30 years.
He explained that dales of forms will commence on the 1st of November 2024 and will be on for three weeks before the commencement of auditioning and interested girls should register online on the QOH websites.
He also said as part of incentives for the exercise, the winner will go home with 42 million naira as well as a brand new car.
Unveiling the second edition of the beauty pageant, the Senior Special Assistant Administration, who represented the governor’s wife, Dr. Comfort Oko, said the event is to provide opportunity for young girls to showcase not only their beauty but brains.
This year’s event has a theme:‘Beauty and Brain,’ and has been incorporated into the Cross River State tourism calendar.
