Hoodlums set fire to INEC office in Enugu

Unknown hoodlums early hours of Sunday set ablaze the office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State.
An eye witnessed told our Correspondent that the inferno affected critical parts of the building housing important documents.
According to the eyewitness accounts, the timely intervention of personnel of the Fire Service who were alerted on the development could not save the situation as the fire had destroyed key part of the building before they arrived.
Efforts to reach the State Police Spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe to react to the development failed.
It could be recalled that this is the fourth time in less than six months, hoodlums have attacked INEC offices in Enugu state. One of the attacks occurred at the Enugu headquarters of the Commission.
