British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ms Catriona Laing, has received in her office a delegation of chieftains of the Labour Party (LP) led by its Presidential candidate in the 2023 General Elections, Dr Peter Obi, alongside his running mate in the poll, Dr Datti Yusuf Baba-Ahmed in Abuja.
According to the British envoy via her verified Twitter handle (@CatrionaLaing1), ‘it was good to meet the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi today (Wednesday) and hear about his ideas on Nigeria’s economic, security and development priorities ahead of 2023 elections.’
Obi who also confirmed the meeting via his verified Twitter handle (@PeterObi), said: “Yesterday, with my dear brother and able running mate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. We met with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, HE @CatrionaLaing1 and her colleagues.”
